Cheryl L. Speidel

Cheryl L. Speidel, age 59 of Belle Fourche, died Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the Belle Fourche Healthcare Center following a courageous battle against cancer.

A celebration of her life will take place 10:30 am Monday, October 1^st, 2018 at the St. James Lutheran Church in Belle Fourche.  Visitation will take place 4 to 6pm Sunday, with a 5pm public prayer service and time of sharing memories, at Leverington Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche.

Cheryl Lynn Speidel was born in Belle Fourche, the fourth of four children, on December 4, 1958 to Gottlieb and Rheba Speidel.  The family began dairy farming in Spearfish when she was young and moved to Newell to continue farming in 1966.  Cheri attended school in Newell, participating in band and other activities.  During her junior year the family moved to Scottsbluff NE, where she graduated from high school. Later, Cheri attended Western Nebraska Community College where she earned her LPN certification.  She worked in that profession for many years in the area and later moved to Holyoke Colorado. Cheri eventually moved with her sons to Fort Francis, Ontario Canada for several years and then returned to Belle Fourche, where she has lived since.

Cheri is survived by three sons, Anthony (Ace) Linne-Speidel (Heather) from Holyoke CO, Tyrell Griffith (Allyssa) from Devlin, Ontario Canada and Jay Rains, Holyoke CO.  She was grandmother to three granddaughters, Kayenna and Layla Griffith and Shiloh Linne-Speidel.  Cheri also leaves her sister, Karen (Jerry) Mosier, Lincoln NE and brother, Tim (Paula) Speidel, Belle Fourche, sister-in-law Bonnie Speidel, Torrington WY, two nieces and three nephews. Cheri was preceded in death by her parents and older brother, Bill Speidel.
