** VIDEO TRIBUTE CAN BE VIEWED BELOW ** Tracy Bruce-Monier, age 52 of Belle Fourche, died Thursday, September 1, 2016 at the Denver Health Medical Center in Denver, CO. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30am Tuesday, September 6th, 2016 at St. Paul Catholic Church in Belle Fourche. Visitation will begin 4pm Monday at Leverington Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche, and conclude with a 7pm Vigil Service at the church. Interment will be held in the St. Paul Catholic Cemetery, in Belle Fourche. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred for her children’s college education. Tracy Ann Bruce was born September 14, 1963 in Mobridge, South Dakota. She was the daughter of Donald and Alice (Jacobs) Bruce. Tracy grew up in the McIntosh SD area, where she graduated from high school in 1981. For two years she was a student at Black Hills State University in Spearfish. During those years, Tracy worked at various places including The Sluice, and Pope and Talbot Sawmill where she met her future husband Marc Monier. Marc and Tracy were married September 24, 1994 in Spearfish Canyon. Following their marriage, they settled in Belle Fourche. Tracy worked from home as a medical transcriptionist for a time, and then in 2006 she began working for Butte County as Deputy Treasurer. In 2010, Tracy was diagnosed with cancer. Since then, she has shown what it means to have courage and strength. Tracy never felt sorry for herself during these years, and she never wanted people to know the pain she was going through. She was a fighter and an inspiration to many. Tracy loved her family, and she also loved her pets. She made many wonderful quilts. She was a wonderful wife and mother and she will be greatly missed. Tracy is survived by her husband, Marc of Belle Fourche; son, Luc of Belle Fourche; daughter, Emily of Belle Fourche; mother and step-father, Alice Bruce and Curtis Hanks of Spearfish; brothers, Monte (Sally) Bruce of Denver CO, Steve (Stacey) Bruce of Valley Springs SD; 3 nieces and nephews, Logan, Allyson and Lindsey; 2 step-brothers, Brad Hanks of Bellingham VA, Brian (Michelle) Hanks of Michigan; 2 step-sisters, Teresa (Rick) Carlson of Rapid City, Rachel Hatcher of Greenville SC; father and mother in-law, Ken and Penny Monier of Miles City MT; and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.  She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Bruce and her grandparents.
